When entering Markdown Rules in the SAS^® Markdown Optimization Pricing Rules view, Minimize Inventory at Risk cannot be saved as the default value of the Primary goal for optimization rule. The Minimize Inventory at Risk option is selectable from the drop-down list, but the system does not allow the value to be saved.

There is no workaround for this issue. However, you can set Minimize Inventory at Risk as your primary optimization goal when creating a Markdown plan or when modifying existing plan properties.
